Freya Greenwood is a KW-based mixed media artist, poet, and wanderer in the fourth dimension. Their work explores the intersections of identity, spirit, and the world around them — weaving together mental health, spirituality, and queer experience through watercolour, collage, poetry, and video. A self-taught artist and author of 26 zines, their main influences are old movies, riot grrrl culture, anime, and Lynchian drama. It loves Stevie Nicks and cheesy science fiction, and their work reflects a desire to embody the weird and wonderful.
Outside of making zines, Freya enjoys watching Doctor Who, the Golden Girls, making jewelry, and doing witchcraft. They are a devotee of their own Original Folk Saint and that informs a lot of their practices. Their work is deeply vulnerable, colourful, and vibrant, with an emphasis on personal sovereignty.
They currently live on Block 2 of the Haldimand Tract
